A single-stock buy signal needs more than one green flag

When a stock flashes a buy signal, I like to check whether the broader sector and index are supporting the move. A signal that appears while the market is weak may still work, but the risk profile is different. I would also check volume, nearby resistance, earnings timing, and whether the stop is logical. The signal starts the review; it should not end it.
